Step-by-step guide

Choose your device. The guide for the device you are using right now is already selected.

This guide is for Google Chrome, the default browser on most Android devices. Samsung Internet, Edge and Firefox work in a similar way through the browser menu.

  1. Open tools.pdf24.org in Chrome and tap the menu with the three dots in the top right corner.
  2. Tap "Install app" or "Add to home screen". The name of the entry differs slightly depending on the Chrome version.
  3. Confirm with "Install".
  4. Done. The PDF24 icon is now on your home screen and opens the tools in a window of their own without an address bar.

On iPhone and iPad you install PDF24 Tools with Safari. Since iOS 16.4 this works the same way in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

  1. Open tools.pdf24.org in Safari and tap the share icon, the square with the arrow pointing up. In newer iOS versions you find it after tapping "•••" next to the address bar.
  2. Scroll down the list and tap "Add to Home Screen".
  3. Tap "Add" in the top right corner. You can change the name of the app before you do.
  4. Done. The PDF24 icon is now on your home screen and opens the tools in a window of their own without an address bar.

On Windows, macOS and Linux you install PDF24 Tools as an app with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

  1. Click the install icon on the right side of the address bar. If you don't see it, you also find the installation in the browser menu behind the three dots.
  2. Confirm with "Install". The app then appears in the Start menu or the Applications folder, and you can pin it to the taskbar.

Does the app cost anything?

Does the app work without internet?

What is the difference to the website?

I can't find an option to install. What can I do?
